Important Loan Update


On April 1, 2023, the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE) will transfer the servicing of all ACPE's Education Loans to American Education Services (AES). If you need to make a payment or change an existing scheduled payment between April 1 and close of business on April 14, 2023, please contact our Customer Service Center toll-free at 1-800-441-2962 (907-465-2962 in Juneau). In reflection of Alaska's workforce needs, ACPE education loans can be used at a wide range of postsecondary institutions, reflecting Alaska's workforce needs. In addition to using Alaska loans at all colleges and career training schools that qualify for federal financial aid, you can also use them at some career training facilities that do not participate in federal programs. Check with the Alaska institution of your choice to find out if they can accept an ACPE student education loan.

ACPE student education loans (ASEL) are available to you if you are an Alaska resident – whether you're attending an in-state or an out-of-state institution. You can also use our student education loans (ASEL) if you are not an Alaska resident, but are attending an eligible Alaska school.
